Pre-Georgia, my freezer had a constant stock of homemade (and NYC authentic) bagels. Post-Georgia, I've made them once. The boiling and baking is a pretty lengthy process. But after eating the doughy bombs every day in the USA, Georgia and I were feeling rather guilty that we weren't able to share our bounty with Felipe in bagel-less Brazil. So now that G has her own apron and I promised to get mine out upon return, we got the sacks of flour out (and all over) today.
Breakfast tomorrow is going to be good.
